I am tapering down on clonazepam 0.5  and have devided it since 6 weeks to 4x a day 0.125

Can I switch back to 3x day  intake or even 2x a day what would be easier cutting the 0.5 pill in half

What time should by  3x or 2x be good for intake

The clonazepam disturbs my sleep and when I devide the pill in 4 pieces I  make the 4,th piece smaller as the rest so it does not disturb my sleep too much

The  deviding the pill by cutting in more than 2 pieces is  difficult

Klonopin has a reasonably long half-life.  There's little need to dose more than once or twice a day.  I'd recommend settling on a dosing scheduling and staying with it since changes in dosing schedule will affect the amount of drug in your body for a few days.  It could (temporarily) go up or down a bit depending on how you change the timing. 

 

If you dose twice a day, space the dosing out evenly.  If 8 am, then 8 pm.  Doesn't have to be exactly 12 hours, but the closer to 12, the more even the coverage.

 

Choose times that work best for you.  I used 'K' for insomnia, so I wanted it at night.  If you're using it more for general anxiety, then I'd think you'd want to take it when you start your day (and ~12 hrs later).

Pill sitting a .5 clonazepam into  4 makes 4 uneven doses.  I don’t think you need 4 doses a day?  Or do you?    It would be more accurate to dose .25 twice a day, if the pill is scored.  Changing up can feel weird, take a bit of adjusting as your brain is used to something else.  Or is that dr recommended?  Have you always done this, or for how long?  Is your goal to taper down?  Clonazepam has a longer half life, so 12 hours apart should/ might  feel ok.  We can’t really advise on what you should do or not.  Depends on your body and on your goal.  I’ve never divided my .5.  Once a day only, and it’s been less tedious.  I don’t have to watch these cuts all day during a taper.  I’m to .125 once a day now.  I can’t get an accurate dose splitting a .5.  I switched to a liquid compound.

That I devided the clonazepam is because at night I want as little as possible as clonazepam gives me insomnia

So I made it 4 parts 

And made the part at night smaller than the other 3 parts which improved my sleep

Now I want to go back to 3 times a day  with the 3 th part be ing much smaller than the other 2 but what would be good times to take the parts

Is this ok

13.30 0.20

19.30  smaller piece  0.10

One of those pieces that I take evening should be smaller  than the other  because clonazepam disturbs my sleep so the smaller the evening piece the better

I used to take 0.75 for evening piece when I was using  4 pieces  so that made the 4 pieces not equal

Now I need to do same at 3 pieces

What would be best time to take the 3 pieces

I thought 7.30  13.30  19.30 "small piece"

If that works for you, then go for it.  The drug level will be pretty low at 7:30 so mornings may be kind of rough.  But if it disturbs your sleep, then this schedule makes sense to me.

I'm sorry, I don't quite know what you're asking for, could you give us a bit more information?  Your signature says you're dosing 4 times a day and you want to change it to 3 times with less at bedtime?  Are you asking how to weigh your pills to come up with the reduction?  Keep talking to us, we'll get this worked out.

It’s very hard to advise on how someone should take their meds.  We don’t have the knowledge that you have about your own body and brain.  We can’t give advice and it might cause you harm.  I believe that a symptom based taper is wise.  .5 once a day, divided into parts over the day.  Ok.  It bothers your sleep.  What do you want to do?  I guess I’m trying to understand if you are tapering down the .5 or not sure how to take the dose? 

 

Does the lower dose at night feel better?  If you are trying to taper down, perhaps start there.  Taper that piece.  Get down to less doses in a day.  Just a thought.

I would try to figure it out for you in the link, but I'm clueless on dry tapering and don't know how much your medicine weighs.

 

You will still have to taper, so I assume you have or will be getting a dry scale.

 

As far as the times you listed, that sounds fine, but you have to try it all out and then perhaps make adjustments.  Your body will let you know.
