Stuck on something I forgot

Does anyones else's brain get stuck on something they forget? For example I will be typing something and my brain will forget something I was going to say. Then my brain will latch onto it and I have this stuck feeling in my brain with that thought. It can last for hours or days.

 

It's a horrible symptom. No matter what I do it won't go away until I r remember the thought or it eventually goes on it's own.

Yep, I've got that to. Note that I used to have it before this benzo mess but I know the withdrawal made it worse. I reckon it's a side effect of insomnia and anxiety (well, at least in my case).

Hi Perth, I have the exact same thing though its usually song loops I get stuck on. I also get really stuck reliving past events in my mind, just completely random and pointless memories that pop up and run over and over in my head.

Intrusive memories and songs are very common.  What I am experiencing is very different.
