Topiramate

Hi All,

I am now seeing a neurologist. For bad headaches and light sensitivity 2 months post taper, she has prescribed Topiramate 25mg at night. Was wondering if anyone else tried this? Any help? Any challenges later getting off of it?

Last thing I want is more medication BUT I feel like I am about to have a seizure a lot of the time and am housebound a lot of the time now so desperately wanting to do something and don't want to reinstate.

Would appreciate support and thoughts. : )

This stuff made me feel so high during withdrawal.......like it was pretty alarming lol. I stopped after the first use but maybe it’ll be different for you!

thanks for being in touch. : ) The problem for me is that from Christmas I have been getting crazy headaches and very bright lights most of the time. I finished taper in Mid November and had none of this during taper. That is why neurologist prescribed it BUT I get so scared of more meds. I don't feel high but I also don't feel much different tbh

It sounds like you’re having classic withdrawal symptoms and honestly there’s like no med that’s going to make it go away. Time is what heals
