After a 4 month taper,Today is the end of  6 weeks off this poison, and I'm feeling as bad , as before I Quit , I still cant sleep more than 3-31/2 hours a night, and wake up with a jolt and the good ''Ol'' terror, fear crap kicking in that hangs on most the day, seems to get better late in the evening, cant take a nap during the day, like I used to, very restless, your mind seems to race along with intrusive thoughts, I thought I might get a window of relief in the 6 weeks I've been off, but I get nothing, I was hoping to feel a little better after 6 weeks, but I guess not, having a hard time handling this. thanks

Hi dumptruck,

I know you're miserable, I used to think that when I was 6 months off I would feel better, but that came and went like your 6 weeks have.  I wonder why we set these expectations on a process that is so fickle and impossible to predict?

I wish I could tell you when you'll feel better.

Thanks for your response Pamster, just want a little break from the pain or withdrawl symtoms, just to get a little piece of mind, even for a minute, I have this dread feeling knowing when I do go to sleep tonight only to wake in fear, all over again, and lately it's making me cry, and I don't cry, not like this, I hope that i'm healing, only time will tell, you and others have helped me a lot on this forum, and I know i'm not alone going through this, and that we all will heal...…….thanks

It's not too much to ask for, just a break.  I used to fantasize about a medically induced coma, but I was talking to another member the other day who said something about hibernating like a bear, that sounds even better.

How can you even go to sleep knowing you'll be waking up in fear, it's inhuman the torture we're subjected to!  No, you're not alone, we get it although it's too bad we have to rely on a bunch of strangers on the internet for this.
