I can feel a part of my brain "stuck". When it gets stuck it's associated with an intrusive looping thought.

This is a horrible symptom

You keep asking the same question on different threads. You are more likely to get replies if you limit your posting to just one thread.

I know this is difficult for you and I'm sorry you are suffering so much.

I use all these crappy symptoms to heal. I found that with the intrusive thinking, it helped me to inquire into my thoughts and examine them. It helped me find reality and a lot of peace, and often, the subside. Don't know why you got on the benzo, but for me, it was to avoid unpleasant thoughts that made me anxious. Now, those thought loops are amplified because the system is damaged. That being said I have healed so much through facing them and getting curious about them.

This is the little 4 question inquiry process I use for thoughts that cause me suffering, it's a real life saver! Mysterious things started happening when I began to do it, like, all the sudden loud noises don't bother me. More peace, etc. It has videos and free downloads in case that calls to you.

This is the daily meditation I use that healed a lot of these compulsive thought patterns as well:

After about 30 days of that, everything changed for me.

Just in case you are looking for some things to try out and see if they could help this awful symptom.  :smitten:

Thank you. My symtoms change every second, hour, day. I have constant racing thoughts of information I have read over the year. Then I get looping thoughts and stuck thoughts out of nowhere. Every thought it intrusive to my brain because the fear and hyperawareness. If the hyperawareness went away I could handle this better. I'm at the point where I don't want to think about anything. I have tried meditation but it makes me more introspective than usual. It's not typical racing thoughts that people have with anxiety or OCD. It's like my brain has been hijacked. I believe it's mental akathisia.

This mediation combines simple hand movements and basic chanting of sounds. I can't handle silent or introspective meditation either and I could see what you wouldn't want to. It has been proven to reduce the symptoms of what you are speaking of with actual research, along with increase rapid healing of the nervous system. It's in the article, anyhow.

If you don't try new things, honey, nothing will change. Period. Not saying you have to try my ideas they are just what brought me back personally from what you are describing. If you listen to the fear and avoid any possible changes everything will stay the same. Feel me?

I was told to start Isha Kriya meditation recently.  Is that similar to kundalini?

Sorry.  I forget what I post a lot.  My memory is bad.

No worries I get the memory issues. This is 'Kirtan Kriya' read the article, written by a holistic psychiatrist, that I posted above. I just find it on YouTube to practice. It is well researched and really helpful for healing any kind of nervous system injuries. I went from brain dead, couldn't write a sentence, to becoming a writer in benzo taper...just food for thought.

The truth is that we have to (get to) find coping mechanisms for what we couldn't handle and led us to take the meds in the first place. Yes, the symptoms are even worse now and we have whole new ones. If we want to be med free we need to fin new ways to cope with life.

Can anyone else relate to this?  It feels like a part of my brain is stuck.  It's very anxiety-provoking.
