14 months out and cant seem to shake this dread feeling , it is extra bad in the morning. It is one one my last symptoms and it just feels like it will never leave.

I cant tell if its a sx or my new normal , all I know is I never felt like that before. I can remember jumping out of bed excited to start my day before but not now.

possibly the hardest feeling for me is the morning dread. it seems as if all of life's problems weigh on me as soon as my eyes open. the feeling is so strong I can't stay In bed. I've been keeping busy with routine and waking up early and staying busy and it has improved some. it isn't as severe as it used to be.  I will work on some techniques to deal with this.

are you currently doing anything to try and improve this

all the best Andrew

I'm hoping it will just fade away like everything else has

I personally can't sit and wait for some symptoms to improve on their own I need to try deal with them. I know I had this morning dread prior to benzos when I had a mental health crisis a few years ago so perhaps for me it is not all 100% withdrawal.

other things like headaches and head pressure I have never felt before and started from almost day 1 of withdrawal so that seem logical that it is whithdawal related.

my morning dread which could last all day although not as severe ,was so bad I couldn't function so I really couldn't wait it out in my case . for me it was so intense I probably could not continue much longer in that state. I am getting improvents weekly

Also have had this symptom the whole way through. A black coffee helps me in the morning. Consider trying some supps that don't hit the same receptors. Taurine helped me for a while.

for me a coffee would possibly make it worse . I needed to slow my mind if anything

Same for me, a mental health crisis due to debilitating work conditions which is one reason I took benzos in the first place.  It has definitely been more acute in withdrawal though.  I do feel it is improving glacially slow.  This is common with severe stress which we are all experiencing.

Cheers,

Its stress related , on days I dont have to work I feel fine, on work days the dread hits the second I wake up before I even have a chance to think , like its automatic.

Yes, exactly the same for me.  We are over sensitized, this will improve.

I should not complain as this is the only sx I have left after having over 60 different sx in the last 15 months. This crap just hammered our CNS but it does heal no doubt.

it's strange , the days I have work are not so bad for me. as soon as I get up im busy and in cruise control I don't have time for to much negativity to set in. I'm on my days off now and my mornings are tough . to much time for the mind to work over time . it really is hard to start the day like this . everything seems so hard.

I have this every morning but it doesn’t fade. </3 it stays strong until I fall asleep

that's sounds really tough. I used to have it all day, it was hell ,no relief . it has gotten a bit better since stopping benzos.

what does your day look like ?

It’s just panic all day long. Worrying about things I can’t control. I’ve switched between 3 jobs in the last few months thinking it’d help. There’s panic at any job I do

I started a new job . im still in shock I did it. I've had no anxiety for weeks but yesterday at work I had a mini attack . I had to talk my way out of it and calm myself down. I hope it doesn't happen often . my anxiety has been controllable since jumping.  during taper I was not functioning . 24/7 despair bar

thank you, as stressfull as it is ,it is helping me . forcing myself out of my comfort zone is training me to overcome anxiety. it wasn't to long ago I was completely useless , there was no way I could work
