Zest for Life/Life Energy

When does a person's zest for life and life energy come back during this? I have no desire to do anything anymore but go through the motions at work. When am I going to want to pursue fun things again like being with friends, reading books, watching movies, going on dates, going out to eat, exercising, etc. I'm supposed to go out to dinner for Valentine's tonight and I don't want to. I was thinking maybe it was my wife but I've been realizing lately I have no desire to go hang out with anybody. During acute, I felt like I had to hang out with people to stay occupied and sane and now I have no desire to.

I feel like I've been lobotomized by psych meds.

I’m pregnant to make matters worse, so my hormones are involved too

I think the only thing for me at this point is to try some antidepressants or something

I was anti medicine but I’ve gotten to a point where i can’t do this anymore and I need to try anything to fix this feeling

I'm leaning the same way as of today. I thought things were improving back in January and that my anger was going to lead to leveled out emotions where I felt some happiness again. I can't deal with another long-term time period with severe depression. I went through that once already with acute withdrawal. Not going to make it through it again. Woke up today with the depression I was feeling throughout acute. I thought it was gone. The worst part is I'm having no desire to do anything all of sudden.

Meganz, I found this alarming. Of course, it's none of my biz, but:

You really want to give "antidepressants or something" to your fetus? We really don't understand what ADs do to US, never mind a developing fetus.

 

Anyhow, just a thought.
