Nightmare after nightmares all night

It really feels like I’m the only one with this symptom of nightmare after nightmare all night long. Broken rem sleep filled with nightmares. When I do fall asleep, it’s ONLY nightmares. It feels almost worst than getting zero hours, because when I’m awake I can at least control a part of my subconscious negativity and fear by distracting, but when I sleep, that part takes over and my body and mind suffers from the night terrors all night long. I feel like my body is being destroyed by this type of sleep. Does anyone else have this?

You're not alone.  It's been awhile, but I distinctly recall a nightmare involving a giant (like 6' tall) wasp chasing me around a cave (I don't much like wasps) after which I abruptly awoke in a panic like I did many nights following similar 'dreams'.

It will get better.

I know this is slightly off topic but I get

awful dreams if I use melatonin.

I got the herbal melatonin and I’m not sure

about that one yet.
