I had a reaction to Doxycycline January 2017 I was put in Ativan and took it for 3 weeks. I have not been the same since. My mind isn’t the same. I admit I have not changed my diet and have been eating bad. Over the last 2 weeks I have been eating better meaning I haven’t been eating sugar.

The last couple of days I have been feeling this weird disconnect. Like I know my name and who I am but I don’t feel like me. I look at my daughter and I know who she is but there’s a disconnect. It’s hard to explain. Please if anyone has felt this way help me to understand.

Is this still from the Ativan and Doxy?  I was not this way until I took them.

I don't know Needsomeonetotalkto, I wonder if the folks in the protracted area of the forum could answer your questions, have you subscribed to that section?

I understand the disconnected feeling very well. It subsides but it takes time

I can relate and reckon its from the DP/DR. I have a 10 year old son who lives with his mother. We connect on Skype weekly, and since the beginning of my poly drug experience, its almost like I have had to get to know him again. I still have this emotional disconnect which really upsets me, as I know I love him to bits, but its just the emotional "feel" that has disappeared for now. I just bank on the fact that it will all come back when my DP/DR eases. At the moment it has been like this for 10 months. P.S. I also experience this with close family at the moment.
