My sleep seems to be improving since starting a modified keto diet and moderate intermittent fasting. I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or if it has something to do with these changes. The past five nights I've slept better and the past two I've had vivid dreams that weren't nightmares. I even had a dream last night where I was writing a song.

I know that sleep can fluctuate through this but the fact that I'm sleeping till my alarm is a really good sign because it has not happened once during this inhumane process.

That is awesome. I wasn’t long ago when I got my sleep back. Feels good but I still worry about insomnia. Look at this as a victory in your healing.

So pleased for you boombox. I had 4 good nights in a row. Unfortunately, that brief window was followed by 3 bad nights (and counting).

This is good news , everything will improve. Keep up the fight

It's hard when sleep is getting better, finally, yet you still feel depressed and angry and riddled with anhedonia.

Hey BoomBoxboy21, how are you doing? I've been researching the effects of keto on paws induced insomnia and it looks like you had a good response. Did these improvements continue?

My sleep has continued to improve at 31 months off but I didn't really stick to that diet for more than two weeks or so. My sleep has just gradually gotten better as I've healed. As my sleep gets better and better, all my other symptoms are slowly improving as well.

Thanks, pinky. I didn't realize this would be a 3-5 year process for me but it looks as though that's what it will be. Hope to write a success story in the next year or so.
