Good find Agusta!

I listened to the whole podcast.

Still a big disconnect ..... "we are in the early stages of finding out that "the patient might be right"..." ....we are the canaries in the mineshaft".... "the discovery of "peripheral receptors  "may" begin to validate the patient's varied experiences/ sxs".... "studies never really have looked any farther than the effect on GABBA receptors"....  (yes they have).

Doctor in the audience said "how do I know its not the patent's underying condition that

is coming back vs being caused by the benzos?"  (where have we heard that before!)

Then there was the doctor in the audience who said "it is almost impossible for patients to come off benzos so the only way I can get them off is to just stop prescribing them". (Adios amigo!)

I think this was a legitimate effort to expose the problems associated with prescribing benzos.

Where this "new attention" to benzos will lead is anybody's guess. Nice thought that there

would be real recognition and action taken to stop the harm benzo are doing to people (and have

been doing to people since the days of Heather Ashton & Malclom Lader).

But in my mind we will continue to be cast as "outliers"....the "sensitive" patients.... the 1%

in clinical trials that for some reason don't react well to a proven medication. (must be something wrong with our DNA)

Its all a big circle j_ _k .....  but the pivot is really the Drs/Phy/Big Pharma/FDA conglomerate.

We are just casualties of war.  My 2 cents.

Thanks Adjusta that was excellent.  I also listened to the next podcast by Nick Kidaski.  He sounds a bit like Mr Rogers, very soothing voice.  It was about focusing on area of pain then refocusing to your foot. Doing it several times to bring the pain level down and soothing nerves.  I will definitely be doing this exercise as I am desperate at this point.  Chained to my heating pad and TENS unit......
