I had no idea how hard it would be to stop taking this pill! The last 3 days have been hell. I’m so sick. Nausea, throwing up, headache, shaking, terrible anxiety, unable to concentrate, and insomnia. I have no choice but to get off this drug as I am no longer able to get a refill. I don’t have enough pills to do a proper taper so I’m doing the best I can. I’m seeing a psychiatrist Thursday and hoping he will help. Trying to find a mental health doctor is almost impossible here. I called everyone I could find and can’t be seen until 3-5 months. Please tell me this gets easier. Anyone have a similar experience?? I need support!!! Thank you

Yes I have had the same experience.  You are tapering TOO FAST.  I would get back to a dose you feel

stable at even it is back a 2mg.  Go to an Urgent Care.  They will typically give you a short term prescription

until you can see a psychiatrist.  Read the Ashton Manual.  You will need to switch over to a longer acting Benzo.

I would love to be able to taper slower but I don’t have enough meds. The doctors or urgent care will not prescribe anything. I’m hoping the psychiatrist will help me

I'm so sorry. I went through that when I first decided to quit and had to go to a slow taper. I know how awful it is. Who prescribed them? Your regular doctor? Do you have a regular doctor?

You need to get to a "Benzo" friendly doctor. Where are you located at?

I’m in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately I can’t find a benzo friendly doctor. I’m scared

Cant you just go back to your original doctor and get a refill.  Then tell him you want to start tapering off?

The key when you go to the new Psychiatrist is to tell him you want to get off this drug and want his help in tapering.

Bring him a copy of the Ashton Manual and tell him you tried on your own and all of your symptoms.

Good thing you found this site.,  How do you feel when you take your normal dose every day?  Are you still sick and have symptoms?
