Lithium withdrawal and Prozac increasei

I took 900mg Lithium extended release for about 20 years. 3 months ago I started tapering off it under my psychiatrist’s guidance. I did 600mg for a month, then 450 and now 300. I’ve been on 300 for 2 weeks. The 300s are not extended release.

 

Does anyone have experience with Lithium withdrawal?

 

I was diagnosed bipolar in 2000. But I believe I’m bipolar 2, just experience hypomania sometimes, mainly depression and anxiety. I was also diagnosed with GAD 5 years ago and pure O OCD. I’m quite the perfectionist.

 

I started to feel depressed every morning and a shortness of breath at times at 600mg Lithium, and once I hit 300 I started feeling very unstable. Mood shifts frequently, irritability, anxiety, depression.

 

I have also been taking Prozac 40mg for about five months. Just went up to 60 last week. I take 40 in the morning, 20 in the afternoon.

 

The last few days I had bad headaches and nausea. I was dry heaving this morning. Could this have to do with the Prozac increase?

 

I sleep pretty well. I wake up once a night at 3-5am, go to the bathroom and then usually fall back asleep within 15min. I get roughly 6-7 hours a night.
