Thank you for the post. Damn, I use benadryl pretty regularly to sleep. I just had an appointment with a sleep doc after a sleep study and she said benadryl can also cause restless legs and hamper sleep.

The article states that Bendryl and anti-depressants can cause dementia. So 20+ years on anti-depressants, 7 on a benzo, and several months using Benadryl during cute withdrawal makes me feel like I am really screwed! Plus, since my neurotransmitters aren't yet up and running, and that seems to be the link for dementia (drugs that block neurotransmitter function), then I better be making plans for my longtime care soon!

 

Oh well, its good to have the information even if there isn't anything we can really do about it.

No, it does not state that. It describes a correlation. It is, however, a reasonable concern, considering our drugs that treat dementia (not very well) do the exact opposite of anticholinergic drugs like Benadryl.
