I’m 7 months off a kpin to Valium taper. I’m getting worse and can’t sleep at all. It’s making me out of control. Who can tell me whether I should reinstate or their opinion?

Not a Dr, but seriously think about how far you’ve come!

Nothing is better than your new freedoms - and time will heal it!!

I’m not even sure reinstating would provide the right fix - better not try and find out.

Walk or Run it off

Eat healthy and chug water!

Sorry you are suffering. It is the most unpleasant experience I've ever had. I took a rescue dose of twice what I was originally taking and it didn't appear to affect me at all—that was shocking. I have nights were I'm going fucking crazy, just want to crawl out of my skin. Was up for 40 hours at one point and was feeling psychotic. I hear about people with depression that sleep all of the time and I'm soooo jealous. I get so wired that I can't even sleep when I'm totally exhausted.

That said, if I were you? I wouldn't reinstate. You'll just have to go through all of this all over again. And my second time was FAR worse than my first time tapering.

Can you exercise like 15yrBenzo mentioned? It helps me a lot. Even just getting out to walk, or just doing pushups by my bed.

Try to hang in there if you can.

Don’t do it. It may not work, you could feel worse, and if nothing else you’ll have to eventually withdraw again and it will probably suck more the second time. If nothing else try other medications first, nothing else will be as hard to come off. I started taking a baby dose of mirtazapine 3.75mg somewhere around 5 months off for the insomnia, I do not regret it. Are you exercising? Always helps me too.

I reinstated many time times during wd and it was always so much more difficult.. plaese don't do it, and you will feel better in some time, I believe.

Sleep will improve with time. I'm eight months out and I started getting some relief after 3-4 months. It will improve in patches I still wake up randomly in the middle of night sometimes2-3 hours. But sleep will improve. Its not necessary to sleep 7-8 hours. Whats necessary is you get deep sleep and it will come in patches.

Reinstating will cause you start all over again.

Melatonin may help, it helped me a lot during acute.

Alsk try anti histamines for sleep. Please use all other options before reinstating

Also do exercise and avoid to sleep during day.

This will improve night time sleep.

Best wishes for you. Be strong.

Yes I have exercised the whole time. Eat good. Supplements that work for me. Thank you for the feedback everyone. I’ll just have to get my head together and be strong and tough it out. Sometimes you just get weak to avoid the pain. Thanks again for your support.
