Setback: A glass of wine during withdrawal

My withdrawal has been extremely challenging, but it had been going very well as of late. I was going to drop to 0.25mg of Klonopin yesterday. But feeling levelled off where I was, I made the mistake of having a single glass of wine last weekend. That night I had nightmares and woke up panicky and in a cold sweat. I expected that feeling to subside over a couple days, but it hasn’t yet. I still feel really panicky with ringing in my ears.  This will be the one and only time I try alcohol during this process.

Has anybody else had a single casual drink set their withdrawal process back?  Or could it be a coincidental result of the drop in Klonopin I made 4 weeks ago? It feels like I dropped my dose and I’m going through a new withdrawal step, but I didn’t.  Just the wine. I hate how sensitive this whole process makes you!

I seem to have trouble even with non alcohol beer!  I feel bad the rest of the day if I drink one.  It really sucks your body is so sensitive in WD

I’ve cut almost everything out of my diet. Red meat, gluten, dairy, refined sugars. I’m basically living off chamomile tea, water, fruits, vegetables and nuts and it had been helping a lot. But made the mistake of thinking I was well enough to try a little alcohol.
