Liquid became ineffective. Hard failure. I have a theory....

I was on 0.40mg  Clonazepam dosing from a 100ml / 10mg batch of Vodka solution for approx 20 days (10mg K / 20ml Vodka / 80ml water)

I noticed my withdraw symptoms became worse over the last 10 days and thought about reinstating a higher dose.

I did not reinstate and  woke up 4 hours after normal dosing liquid,  facing panic attack and extreme physical withdraw symptoms. I took .25mg tablet and immediately went back to sleep. This happened 3 days in a row.

So now, I was taking .4mg liquid at bedtime +.25mg tablet 4 hours later when I woke up

I had a theory that the liquid simply was not working due to the fact that the .25mg tablet dosage was acting so powerfully on me....................

I removed the liquid and started dosing only the .25mg tablet at night. All of my symptoms were gone and I slept through the night like a baby with a 40% reduction in total daily K!!!

I have continued on .25mg tablet only and feel amazing.

Why would the liquid have gone bad?

There seems to be a very thick PURE white coating on my dosing syringe. There is yellow filler at the bottom of the container, but the syringe has a pure white coating that has been built up after dozens of doses of liquid. The pure white coating is a little waxy and adhears to the plastic syringe.

Could the active ingredient be binding to the plastic syringe?

No, but any of the insoluble, inactive components could be.

And even in the most well planned, and carefully executed taper, there will be times you system has to make some asjustment, get everything back in synch.  The emergence of some sxs, especially something as common as sleep issues does NOT necessarily something is wrong.

That's why I always recommend a 5-10 hold to see if the issue resolves, before actually making changes to your plan.

I don't know but I can tell you there are several of us that cannot handle a completely liquid microtaper for whatever reason, metabolism, whatever.

So you are saying that on .4 mg of liquid, you felt awful and horrible WD and now on a .25 mg tablet, you feel so much better, even though that's a lower dose?

Yes, I honestly believe the liquid became ineffective for some reason... It worked fine when i made the batch and become in effective approx 25 days later. That's when I switched to .25mg K pill, so far so good!! Im curious at to what I was getting from the liquid and if I could have just held on for a few more days. It couldn't have been much.
