Nearly one in three adolescents aged 13-18 will experience an anxiety disorder. One of the treatments for the condition is taking benzodiazepines, or benzos. However, despite their many uses, benzos can be physically and mentally addictive.

 

“Benzo abuse was found to be most common in people aged 18 to 35,” Pfizer’s Chief Patient Officer Dr. Freda Lewis-Hall tells Dr. Phil on Thursday’s episode.
