Help with Librax withdrawal

Recommended Posts

I was prescribed librax for post surgical colon pain and ongoing IBS.  It was given to me by a GI doctor with no explanation of what future problems it could cause when trying to get off of it.  The doctor said it would make me less nervous with my tee shot (golf).  That should of raised a red flag,

but feeling the way I was I trusted him......big mistake I'm paying for it now.  If anyone has tried to get off this drug, please advise.  How could a tiny green capsule that only has 5 mg. of librium ( I took two per day ) cause so much withdrawal symptoms!

Hello Spartan, Welcome to BenzoBuddies!

I'm so sorry to hear about your IBS and colon surgery, and especially sorry about the Librax, yes, how can a tiny green capsule cause so much pain and havoc in our lives?  You'll find many here who are suffering as you are, so please have a look around and feel free to ask your questions.  Are you interested in tapering off the drug, or have you already done so?

We have many places on the forum you can look, there is General Taper Plans if you're just getting started, and Withdrawal Support (during your taper) and Post-withdrawal Recovery Support.

But whatever stage you're currently in, you'll find plenty of support and answers to your questions.

We're glad you're here.

Pamster
