Does anyone feel better after a cut

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've been stuck at 32mg valium for months due to non benzo related problems.

I just want to do a cut, even though i still have the problems because 1) I don't think a 2mg cut will affect me and 2) I just want to feel as if I'm moving in the right direction.

My question to buddies is "does anyone feel better after a cut rather than worse?)

I usually feel better the first few days, then around day 5, I get the side effects till about day 10. This cut I only got one tired day on day five, followed by 5 straight good days, so I have cut again, but only a really small amount, and I have never been able to do this in 2+ years of taper. On around 0.4 of valium

I began to feel noticeably better very early in my taper.

Benzos are strong depressant drugs.  Its very probable you will gradually experience depression and depressive sxs the longer you take them.

As soon as your dose begins to decline, you will probably begin to recover from that depression, and some of the paradoxical effects.

NOTE:  I didn't know I was depressed, but there were some pretty dramatic changes, even during the first month of my taper.

Right at thne beginning of my taper when I made big cuts and went from 6 mg to 3 mg in a short period of time I felt significantly better for a month or two. Then got harder as I got closer to 1 mg a day.

Hi

So 5 days sounds like your lag-time.

You are on a really small dose, congratulations, you will be free soon.

Hi Builder

I remember you from years ago.

I remember you felt stuck on the ashton taper at around 9mg if correct?

Then you started to daily titrate and felt better and was able to get off.

As I am on such a high dose, 32mg now, been stuck at that dose for months, as I have non benzo problems and couldn't face benzo wd anxiety on top, but reading about benzos causing osteoporosis has made me want to cut, plus, just getting this poison out of me. From my previous taper, I found ashton cuts ok till around 6mg but I was only tapering from 15mg. I do plan to daily titrate eventually when ashton cuts start to hurt, as I know they don't suit everyone.

I don't know my lag time but I think if I give it 2 weeks, I should know whether I have felt the cut.

I did a first ashton cut of 2mg last night, figuring that 2mg off 32mg
