5% taper for a week-bad nausea sx or birth control pill? Ladies?

So, I have been tapering by 5% of my daily 1.5 mg Klonopin dose for what will be my sixth night tonight (not 5% each night). I also had my Mirena IUD out a week ago today and have gone on Yaz birth control pills for a diagnosis of PMDD. My boobs are super sore and I've been really nauseous. Like really nauseous. I threw up once today, but I'm not dry heaving and retching. I had morning sickness with all three of my children and that's what it feels like (NOT pregnant). Would you think the nausea is more from the Yaz or a withdrawal symptom from my taper?? It is not fun to deal with on top of heightened emotions if it's caused by Yaz. I'm debating on whether to stop taking it and just let my Prozac dose handle the PMDD symptoms.

I'm inclined to think Yaz because 5% is not a lot.

I'm inclined to agree with you in that it's the bc pill. Many many years ago i took bc pills and had severe nausea and vomiting with all of them that contained progesterone, i was hospitalized a few times because i got so dehydrated. It was exactly as you say, just like being pregnant. Good luck with your taper, i hope it's a smooth ride.

Thank you for replying. My doc encouraged me to keep taking the Yaz and prescribed Zofran for the nausea. It is definitely making my anxiety and depression worse. I feel like I'm in a state of really bad PMS and my period is weeks away.

Birth control pills (years ago) and withdrawal have both made me nauseated so it may be the combination.
