On 7th day of taper

Hello, I have been taking 2 mg of ativan to sleep for about 3 to 4 years. It stopped working a long time ago and I told my doctor this. But he just kept prescribing everything the way it was. So 5 months ago I hit a wall was so tired couldn't get out of bed. Having horrible anxiety. Well I have now figured out I have probley been in withdrawal for 6 months or more. I am taking today I start 1/4 mg ativan and then I take 2.5 mg of valium at night. And another 2.5 of valium in the morning if I'm really bad. I haven't been able to work I can barely function. My skin is burning and I can't really concentrate. I'm a mess! Please tell me I'm going to get things figured out??

First, your going to be ok.  Please start learning coping techniques, they will help tremendously. We have them here, there are a few very good ones on YouTube. Additionally, we have links on tapering, and information sheets that will provide the education you need to understand why things are happening, and see that these sensations are completely normal.
