Daily dry taper-need help!

Hoping that Builder or someone can help me. In one year I have tapered from 4mg down to 1 mg. I tried the dlmt, but it didn’t work for me. I would like to taper 10% month. Don’t know how to do it with a scale. Any help would be appreciated!

1)  Weigh your total tablet dose.

 

2)  Multiply by 10%

 

3) divide by 30 days.  That will be the amount of your daily reduction.

 

Hypothetical example:

 

300 mg (.3 g)  x 10% = 30mg ( .03g)

 

30mg/30 days = 1mg (.001g) daily reduction

I was on so much I dosed 4X a day. As I got lower I dosed less. Klonopin has a long half life so dosing about 2X a day seemed right when I did it. I did well even well on one time.

Thank you. I see you did a crossover, so maybe 2X a day worked fine, irregardless of the long half life, because of the addition of Valium?

 

I’m interested to know if people time their doses evenly, I.e. 4X every 6 hours. It would be tricky to get in that 4th dose without interrupting sleep, I would think.

Yes it would. I guess you’d have to set your alarm clock. Even before Valium I dosed only 3X because of this. I honestly don’t believe the Valium played much of a role when I dropped dosing Times.
