Off Klon for 1 week

Looking for support because of withdrawal symptoms - more challenging than I expected.  I took my last dose of taper 10 days ago.  Was on ativan for 14 months prior to starting klonopin which I took for 3 months.  Glad to be off it but didn't realize I would be dealing with really unpleasant symptoms - mood vaccilation, headache, head pressure, dizziness and spike in blood pressure.  I feel very discouraged and isolated at times.  Thanks for any words of encouragement.

I love your username, it suggests you're confident in your future.  We're glad you found us, this is a tough process and isolation is a common feeling, no one in our world seems to be able to understand what we're feeling, heck, we don't even understand this.  Your symptoms sound very familiar to most of us, so you'll find a lot of understanding here.

I hope you get over the withdrawal symptoms soon. I am getting ready to go through it & scared to be honest. I am already feeling not great but I know it must be done. I have been on Klonopin since last December, although at first it was 1 mg, then in May it got upped to 1.5 per day, divided into 3 doses. I also (stupidly) was taking .5 of xanax that I had from an old script, and am just running out of it and boy do I feel it. I am going to get off the xanax (real soon since I only have about 7 .5mg doses left, which I eintend to split up and take in small doses) and then begin to taper off the klonopin once I feel halfway human again. I am hoping your withdrawal will be less horrible, since you weren't on it as long. Best of luck!
