I’m almost 32 months off.....I’ve been getting worse since 28 months and now drastically worse.  Worst then the begining. I’ve never been this non functional, hopeless, depression, terror, head presssure, rage, no feelings towards family, fatigue, loss of appetite.  I just don’t know what to think.

I'm sorry you are still struggling so far out.  I know you posted before about being tested and positive for something else.  What were you positive for?

Maybe visit the success stories subforum? I do that when I feel no hope:

I'm so sorry you're struggling so badly.  Maybe visit your family dr.  Something else might be going on.  Big hugs!

Has anyone seen this happen or heard of it this far out?

Did you have pre-existing conditions? I'm not a doctor, but those sound like symptoms of depression.

Posted
No I didn’t. I know your early off and just starting so don’t want to scare you. I’ve had waves and windows. Was told it was withdraw. Depression doesn’t cause tacycharia and bp issues

You didn't mention bp issues and tachycardia in your first post.

:smitten: sstory.

No, I haven't.  But have seen in Archives and other readings.

For what it's worth I feel really bad today.  Still losing weight.  Feel worse than previously, but I'm only 7 months out.  Maybe see the doctor to have anything else ruled out?

He has made a few posts about having PANS or the EBV but not sure if he has treated it yet.

I am in the same situation around 30 months out. Waves on and off during the day. Last days it’s downwards again. Neverending story, but we have no other option than carry on I guess.

Even the worse cases do heal, at least I hope so!

Yes, very much so.

It's WD, unless tests prove otherwise. I've had every test there is. Depression is a symptom too. There's no pattern to this, no 2 people are the exact same; some have not too bad experience, some get windows/waves, some do get worse before better, some get no windows, it's hard. It's not linear

Like Hopehope says, even the worst cases heal, but it takes time and sadly a lot of time for some, it is very, very hard and you get weary. Just take one day at a time. I'm so sorry you're suffering so, I understand.

It's ok. I'm not scared. My symptoms are slowly disappearing, so I know I won't be in the protracted camp. You hadn't mentioned the other symptoms in your original post.

Have you seen a doctor about this? A therapist might be useful.

No one thinks they’ll be protracted, I certainly didn’t. I never joined any groups until 6 months off, not difficult taper.

1. Have you seen the Dr? This is exactly what unhelpful family and gaslighters etc say.

2. Therapy doesn’t help a benzo chemical injury.

Again, I’m so sorry for your suffering sstory, it’s not your fault, you can’t help it, some people don’t understand. We all heal eventually,  in different ways. Yours could happen quickly, you never know.

I'm so sorry for you Time heals, that you are having such a rough time. But, there is no need to scare people by suggesting to them that they will be protracted. Everyone is different.

1. No, that is what an intelligent person does to see if there are any other problems that can be addressed. My psych doctor had me do labs and checked out my diet to make sure there weren't any other issues. She had me do a post-benzo polysomnagram so we could compare it to the one I took when I was taking benzos so we could see if there we any sleep issues covered up by benzo usage.

2. Therapy is undergone to help you cope with whatever your problem is. My therapist and I work on issues that have come up in regards to BWD.

It is pretty common for people to throw the baby out with the bathwater in regards to medicine. My psych doctor has been a great help in organizing my taper and dealing with the issues that came with it. But I had to reach out to her first.

Agree with tst!  There are a multitude of different therapies out there and, IMO, it's nonsense making this blanket statement that nothing will help a "benzo chemical injury".

Also, the OP has been extremely vocal and opinionated in the past about, not only his autoimmune diagnosis (PANS/PANDA), but also his many posts raising the alert for others to keep an open mind and not discount the possibility of other causes for ongoing longterm symptoms.

There's no gaslighting that I see going on here.  Just sensible, adult talk.
