Alpha gpc

I am just wondering if anyone has taken this and if so, have they had any negative effects?

This is a bit of a strange query because I have not taken it recently. I took it a while ago - before Benzos but I feel like I am experiencing the same symptoms coming off benzos as I did coming off alpha gpc?! I took 2 caps of alpha gpc daily for about three months a good while ago. I had anxiety depression, apathy, irritability, anger, inability to sit still yet also an inability to be productive. Very short tempered, bad short term memory, auditory, visual and olfactory hallucinations, cog fog, brain pressure, wetting myself on a couple of occasions, frequent candida infections, nerve pain, stiff neck etc etc etc etc the list massively goes on. I had all of these symptoms after only alpha gpc! I have had them again after benzos of course.

I now know that alpha gpc overstimulates the acytecholine receptor and that benzos block it. Both therefore cause it to malfunction. I have also read that this receptor is the slowest of all of them to repair. I am just wondering now how much the damage to this receptor has to do with all of my Benzo symptoms.

Has anyone noticed serious decline in healing after starting and stopping alpha gpc or citicoline?

I should say that my symptoms are more severe off benzos and the depression and anxiety are way worse. But it is striking to me the similarity in symptoms!

Do you think the damage caused by alpha-choline persists? And like benzodiazepine withdrawal symptoms?

I have learned elsewhere that huperzine a causes the same symptoms as benzodiazepine withdrawal and is equally resistant to resistance. Whether huperzine or choline supplements can be considered unsafe.

Jerry, may I ask you more? I'm considering Huperzine A for tinnitus (there is a clinical trial where they are trialling this) but what you are saying is worrying me. I'm on clonazepam at the moment, stable dose but the tinnitus is getting worse. Are you saying that Huperzine A could exacerbate tolerance withdrawal if that is what I have?

Thanks in advance.
