Why do we tell ourselves we will be the worse case and won’t heal

This happened so fast and like most I worry I will be the worse case and won’t heal.  What is healing and how do we know we have our life back ?

You are healing.  You will be OK.  Trust me.  I had to trust others on BB when I was at my worst.  I did.  And life is so much better now.  The belief that you will recover is very important in this process so find a way to get rid of doubts and STAY positive.  Believe me, I know how bad it sucks.  16 months out and I remember Acute like yesterday.  FAR from it now.

I was kicked to a low dose of Ativan .25 from .5-1mg daily for 6 weeks now I started looking into stuff and should of never been out on this. I had back pain for main years and 2.5 years ago put on Vicodin 20-25 mg daily  How can I even come off Ativan now with Vicodin in my system.  Does anyone have information on this.  My doc basically gave me a toxic mix on top on withdrawal.  I’m so sick barely can eat don’t sleep    I’m so scared now

I think this is such a normal thought when one is going through this horror! I had over 80 sxs from a harsh C/T off of 40 mil of Valium! I took myself off not knowing any better

 

It took me time and even when I lost all muscle mass and tone and couldn’t hold my own body weight for more than 3 mins . I told myself you will heal no matter what! It’s hard to believe when you see your body deplete and suffer tremendous pain and have mental sxs that are beyond tolerable!

 

But time passes and the brain heals! Your  GABA receptors are down regulated and miss firing messages rt now and when they start to regulate sxs die off!

 

I am Healed for years now!
