Hi everyone,

 

I was going out of my mind in the psych ward a few weeks ago and they gave my zyprexa.  I recently found out it had benzo properties. Did I set myself back to square 1?

Can you elaborate on this? Specifically, which properties? And how/where did you find this out?

 

I'm interested as I took zyprexa off and on during my taper and never noticed any similarities.

Zyprexa is an anti-psychotic (Z-drug). Is there any way you can manage the withdrawal from cold-turkey without additional medication? From reading many stories on here it seems adding medication can complicate and make it worse. Buddies, correct me if I'm wrong but I think the best options are: Taper from the existing med giving you complication, continue to  stay off the medication you went CT on or switch to Valium and taper from there.

I only took it one time just to clarify.  It has thienobenzodiazepine in it.
