My daughter is 13 months CT from 1mg of Ativan. Hospitalized this week with severe mania. Doctor prescribed Depakote. Any thoughts?

My doctor prescribed me Depakote for the withdrawal about 4 months out when I really started struggling with debilitating panic attacks and lots of fear.  I will say that it eased some of the anxiety and other symptoms like body buzz and overall restlessness.  HOWEVER, I felt so drugged and I started having lots of confusion and suicidal thoughts (which happen to be side effects).  So, I stopped it.

 

Supposedly pretty good with manic symptoms.
