Has anyone experienced this with Remeron?

I added Remeron to try and stabilize from a chaotic taper schedule that had me experiencing pretty severe symptoms considering I was still on quite a bit of K. I’m about 6 weeks into Remeron. Started at 7.5 mg then went to 15 mg, now at 22.5mg. It’s helped overall in physical anxiety but now I feel very apathetic. It’s like it’s taken away the fire of anxiety but also taken away “my will to fight”. Another thing I’ve noticed is that my doses of K feel stronger to me now. Before adding Remeron I guess I was in tolerance and barely felt any relief from taking my doses. Now I feel almost like K is stronger.

It’s why I am tapering it after only 7 months of bring off Xanax. It did help a lot but I couldn’t feel anything. I don’t know if that is what you mean. But for me it blocks all emotions even happiness. I have tapered from 15 down to 11 and already I am laughing and smiling. Because at doses of 15 mg or higher it is an antidepressant. This is how most antidepressants are. They blunt your emotions even the good ones. At lower doses it still works on anxiety but allows you to feel happy.

Even on the lower doses I felt depressed, I guess it was from Benzo. I don’t know anymore!! It’s all mixed up

I know. I can’t really say for sure either. The depression is going away as I taper. However it could just be lifting from the benzo withdrawal. I often can’t tell whether I am having Remeron withdrawal symptoms or am in a benzo wave. It is really confusing. But I do know that Remeron definitely 100 percent helped the physical withdrawal symptoms I had/have in benzo withdrawal.

Yes I agree with you on that one. For sure it helps with physical symptoms
