TL;DR: Even if you watched the Lisa Ling episode, please view it anyway on the official release date to support the episode and let the networks know benzodiazepine harm is a marketable issue.

 

Our Statement on the Lisa Ling Leak:

 

As many of you may know in the community the benzodiazepine episode of This Is Life with Lisa Ling was leaked last night. BIC, especially Brooke, spent almost a year working on this episode. Jordan Peterson, a celebrity currently experiencing benzo harm, Tweeted the link. The link has been pulled.

 

Many of you who viewed the leak had a very positive response,  so we ask everyone to still watch it on CNN on October 6 at 10PM EST to show support for the episode. Television shows need viewers and ratings and this episode, which accurately and respectfully portrays the benzodiazepine problem, deserves high views and ratings. Please tell your friends and family and support the show by viewing it on the official release day or via official streaming options so the networks know this topic is a popular one and should be done more often. Thanks.

My question is when if ever will the entire show be legit uploaded to youtube or somewhere where it can be linked?

 

I have waited 8 long years to be able to have something I can present to people that ACCURATELY portrays the horrors of these drugs and it is one thing to tell people to tune in at x time but having a link where someone can watch it immediately will have much greater impact.

 

I am all about supporting the show but I don't even have cable personally and asking people to go out of their way to watch a show about an issue that no one really seems to care about in the first place is "asking a lot of people".

I was able to watch the old episodes on the CNN site until the new season came out as I wanted to see everything so we'd have an idea of how they approach things. Lots of good content from Lisa Ling on many topics. It seems like they were up until the new season was announced. I'm hoping this one will be up as well. As far as a permanent solution I am unsure, maybe it will be for sale on iTunes, Amazon, Youtube, etc for one episode. That's like $2-3 if it is.

Jordan B Peterson is not someone I want to think about, but

he is also a benzo victim, so his judgment might be compromised.

CNN can produce work on such issues because

advertising and cable fees pay the bills.

We need to protect that model by not identifying

or watching pirate material; at least for a while.

 

I hope they will make it available soon in a way that everyone

can access, even if it's with youtube ads (that we don't skip).

Everyone should watch or record the program on Oct 6.

Well every single person on here is free to make their own account, too. There are a lot of doctors on twitter, and there's not a lot of harmed people on twitter in general, but even less speaking in a relatable way, so if we could add more that would be nice!
