All praise Ziggy

I don't know whether this is in the right spot or not, but wanted to give great praise to Ziggy.  I don't know if this is the same Ziggy I have seen here on bb, and if not still all praise to whoever this Ziggy might be. 

 

I stumbled on a forum "doctor/student net" where doctors/students share knowledge when making diagnosis.  Others have probabably seen it, I've been a bit slow on the uptake recently. 

 

Question was put as to patient displaying mania following abrupt cessation benzo's.  I could barely believe my eyes when I saw these idiots having this poor patient diagnosed with every psych condition in the book.  Bipolar, etc., etc.  It was a running sheet of psych diagnoses and drugs.  I think one only gave some cursory consideration of benzo's being cause.  Ridiculed the idea of it being benzos.  They were cruel. 

 

Poor dear Ziggy was insulted and accused of being an 'addict'.  Even insulted for saying s/he was proud of herself for now being benzo free.  Ziggy gave them a really good run for their money, and was respectful throughout all posts.  Until the end when telling one doctor with username WallStreet that he must have a small weenie.    We don't use the term weenie in Australia, but I cheered for Ziggy as I sat here in this heap of shit I've now come to describe as my life. 

 

I've never been a doctor hater or drug nazi as I know drugs are necessary in treating some disease but this shook whatever faith I had left.  I do know that there are some good doctors, but this really made me angry.  Sad. 

 

All newcomers:  I've been 7 months off and things are improving ever so slowly.    Keep the faith, we'll do this thing together.
