What dose to "jump" off of Xanax?

After two very long years of tapering, I'm trying to get a feel for when it's safe to "jump" off of Xanax. I still have a ton of symptoms but my entire taper has been this way.  At this point, I'm convinced that healing wont happen until I'm finally off of them! I've been on them for 21 years now - including the tapering.  Ugh!  I had planned to discontinue when I reach .0625  (.021 three times per day) which is the equivalent of .625 of Valium (depending on who you ask).  I don't know how I can possibly cut them into 3 doses after this... or if I'd even want to.  All advice is welcomed.

Thanks!

Lori

I think the longest major crashes I have seen are around 2 or 3 months. Not by any means suggesting you need to worry about it, but to to at least keep the possibility in mind I have never seen how long you were on Ativan so it is more difficult to judge

  • 1 month later...

Following - I'm noplace near "jump" yet

When more nights 1.5 had to be 2, 6 months ago... Ya I know, took that long to figure out what's going on.

Just now getting the "feel of" how to avoid "interdose"... e.g. how to (WHAT?) space my X over the day.

Real grateful to see other's experiences here.

THANK YOU ALL
