oxazepam problem

[Da...]

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have read a lots of stories in a last few days, I am not sure if my current condition is caused by oxazepam or alcohol or maybe both..

I am currently on 60 mg oxazepam daily was on 75 mg 3 days ago.

I am taking benzos from 2003, the biggest dose I was on was 150 mg last summer when I cut to 90 mg.

Thanks

Hi Darth Benzo  Welcome to Benzobuddies

We are glad you joined the community. You've come to the right place for information related to benzodiazepines. Benzodiazepines are recommended for short term use, it doesnt take long for the body to become dependent on these drugs.  If you are looking to taper off these meds,  I suggest you do some research first before you decide on a taper plan.  We have a great community here of knowledgeable and friendly people who understand this process. Feel free to ask questions so that members can respond.

For tapering advice its generally recommended that you cut your daily dose by between 5% and 10% every 10 - 14 days according to how you are feeling.  If things feel too tough then we suggest that you cut less.  The aim is to try and keep any symptoms manageable.

The  Ashton Manual  is a great resource for understanding the effect benzo’s have on our body.  It provides Tapering and withdrawal information and includes a list of common symptoms

Here are some helpful links:

You might like to add a signature (history of meds/doses etc) it will help members give you relevant advice.  Go to the top of the page and select PROFILE then choose forum profile then insert drug history into the text box and remember to click change profile

Welcome aboard

Magrita
