Using a scale and following the manual. Going well.

Dropped 2 mg over the last 2 weeks using a scale and a notepad to get accurate cuts.

I cut over a 3 day period gradually bringing my dose down another mg and allow 5 days or until my body says it's ok to cut again.

A good diet and a lot of running. No other drugs or alcohol. I vape and that's it.

Symptoms are usual. Ringing ears, restlessness, short attention span, anxiety. Not a big deal.

I really like the scale. 30 bucks! Here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012TDNAM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I really think I can beat this thing. I imagine as I get lower and lower my cuts will get up to two weeks for my brain to heal. I plan to especially take it slowly towards the end. I really think that is what is gonna make or brake protracted sxs on the jump.

30+ weeks to go!

I am so glad that you are having such success with the scale and your taper! It makes my heart glad to see others making progress.  I, however, am not that fortunate at the present time.  I too have the scale similar to the one you bought, but my scale is all over the place.  I have to use it when no one else is in the house because just the slightest vibration and it is off.  Even my dog walking on the floor in the kitchen will cause an inaccuracy and I live in a new home so the floors are not uneven or loose.  Do you do anything special to the scale to get it to be more accurate? I heard someone on here post that if you put a nickle under the bowl it is more accurate, but mine did not seem to make a difference.  I can weigh my pills, and I make sure they weigh the same twice for accuracy and then weigh them again the next day and they will either be higher or lower and I calibrate my scale before each use.  Maybe I am not using it correctly, so any tips you can provide would be very welcome!

Happy for you! I celebrate anyone who is having success with their progress!!

Maggie

Share your model and brand and I will look up calibration info for you. I'd also suggest doing it on your countertop or any place that is very sturdy. You can also use a large clear bowl to put over the top if air movement is causing issues.

Hi PillCrumbz,

It's great to see someone have success with this scale. I too have a Gem20 but haven't had much success tapering.

Is there any chance you could share your taper plan? how you have been coming off and at what rate every 3-days ?  I would really like to give this another go. I'm sure others would find benefit too. I am tossing up between going back on Milk (DLMT method) and dry cutting and would prefer keeping the pill(s) as they are.

I am tapering from 1mg of K.

Thanks,

Hoops88.

As of now I am trying to come down 1 mg per week.

When I start cutting I cut 33% on the first day 33 on the next and then 33 on the third day.

Then I wait 5 more days and see how I am feeling.

Most importantly I try not to rush it if I start to feel good after a few days.

If I get to the point where I need to start staggering at two weeks out then I will use the same system.

I should also know that it's important to use the same pills while cutting just in case there is an uneven dose.

I hope this info helps good luck. Please don't hesitate with any questions.
