Is the crushing fatigue we experience during benzo withdrawal primarily related to vitamin B deficiency?

 

And if so, does it resolve with vitamin B shot?

The first year of withdrawal, yes. But then I turned to junk fast food, etc. Because it is more convenient.

 

That's what I suspect, but how do we help heal our adrenal glands? Any drug. Vitamin or supplement?

benzo healing is much more complicated than just Vit B deficiencies and crashed adrenals. I have done a ton of research on this subject. Your brain is healing. The brain gives signals for the adrenals to release hormones and it is out of whack. Your adrenals themselves are working fine, the problem is really in the brain.

 

That being said, I took a blood test which measured my vitamin levels and my Vit B was pretty low. I wouldn't recommend getting a shot because you never know how you will react. I took Jarrow sublingual B-12 for the past 6 months. It has helped with fatigue , but I think the Benzo withdrawal is the real cause and the B-12 is a marginal help.

 

If you are going to take b-12 make sure you also take methyl folate and the other b vitamins as they will get low if you just take b-12
