Xanax low dose over 10 years

Hi guys. I'm about to start another attempt to get rid of my Xanax addiction.

 

I started taking it in 2008 at age 28 because i discovered that a mere 0.25 mg completely removed my tinnitus and hyperacusis. I managed to stay on 0.25 to 0.5 mg per day ever since. Doc suggested it was a very small dose and an acceptable alternative to the limited life quality i suffered due to my hyperacusis.

 

Fast forward 11 years. I want out of this. I don't know where i will end up mentally when i'm clean but i want out.

 

Has anyone had a similar long lasting, low dose experience?

 

If so please share how your taper went.

I’m staring down the barrel of a 15-20 year .5 twice a day situation. I want out super bad but can’t afgord to lose my job or suffer too badly! I’m wanting to go extremely slow - I wish to god they made micro doses so I could cut by 1% at a time - I keep thinking if I had done this years go I’d be done . So I’m going to look around for help on these boards and I don’t know maybe we can be buddies in this . How slow are you wanting to go?

You can easily make "microdoses" by tapering with dilute liquid. 

 

There is  an Rx liquid xanax, or you can easily dissolve your tablets with a tiny amount of vodka (alcohol) or propylene glycol and diluting with water.

 

If you make a ,1mg=1ml solution, you can very easily measure out .01 (hundredths) of a milligram.
