Hello kachina!

We are very glad that you found us!

I am glad to hear that you are benzo free. CT is generally not recommended and may leave one with intensified withdrawal symptoms for extended period of time. The good news is that the majority of folks who quit taking benzo's fully recover. You are not alone in this. You will find many folks here who have also been taken off benzo abruptly. Hopefully your symptoms are short lived. Try to keep yourself distracted and stay striong.

I would also like to suggest that you do some research on the various boards. Becoming well informed should better enable you to make difficult decisions as well as provide you with the tools you need for a successful recovery.  You will find many knowledgeable members who will support your efforts to remain benzo free. I have enclosed a few links below that may help you. Check them out!

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Sometimes it becomes intolerable.  But Bella is right a lot of folk CT and are ok.

Please say how much benzos you were on. Some folk reinstate and then taper off at ten percent.

Ideally you do not reinstate at your usual dose as you will be benzo sensitive after even a few weeks, you need less.

Please read the Ashton manual it’s very thorough and helpful.

Very best wishes at this difficult time.

If you really have to reinstate I can PM info on it but as Bella says you may just manage.

I hope the alcohol is a lifetime zero?.

Yours Dick

I’m 5 months and 3 weeks post doc prescribed and forced RT/CT.  It’s still brutal.  However, I see improvement.

Hold on!  Sara
