Alcohol after benzos 9 months later ok?

I've been benzo free for about 2 years now and I ended up prolonging the withdrawl- unknowlingly- by drinking alcohol post quitting. After quitting alcohol I had some withdrawls that cane from the benzo withdrawl but I'd say I'm 90% healed. Anyways it's been about 9 months since I'd had alcohol and would like to drink occasionally at certain locations. Has anyone added alcohol back in after quitting and any effects 9 sober from all drugs and alcohol?

Please don't. Wait till 2 years after your 100 percent at earliest. I messed myself up so bad. Ive been tripping ever since i thought i could handle some beer.

Can you give us some more details on what happened?

I myself started drinking 2-3 months after my last dose. I have not had any problems what so ever.

I really think everybody is different. You can try a drink and see how you're feeling. Just start very slowly.

For me, I don't think I'll ever drink again.

I am a prime example of being careful. I was almost 100% in 2017. I had 3 detoxes and a horrific WD. I posted my success story in 2016 and was feeling so good I started drinking on the weekends. I tested the water a few times and had zero issues. For the next 8 months I was drinking with the guys on the weekends and sad to say over doing it. Sometimes 4 glasses of wine a night.

One morning in late 2017, I woke up with some old benzo sympomts back. Tingling in the extremities. I was thinking it was anxiety and the next weekened I drank again. I woke at 4am with my heart pounding and paced all morning. I quit drinking and was doing well. 4 weeks later I took Benadryl for sleep and by week three taking it, my CNS had enough and I went back into the WD syndrome just as I was before. All sympotms back with a sensitivity I cant even tell you how bad. My skin burns 24/7 19 months later after the drinking.

Prior to the alcohol, I was doing great!

For 8 months I was thinking "all these people on BB saying to stay away from booze are just crazy, I am fine"

Imagine going though WD or better yet damaging your CNS twice after hardly surviving the first time. I cant even get a tooth worked on or I am pacing and awake 3 days shaking. Prior to the booze, I could take antibiotics, get dental work and all! Its been 29 or 20 months now after the last drink and its still very bad. I survived benzo WD in 2014 and now I am in it all over again.

Drink if you wish but be careful.

I was moved out living in my own apartment, going to the gym daily, shopping for myself. Now I live with my parent cus i couldn't resist. Had a few too many drinks one night and woke up in hell. A few days later i siezured. Then i ended up going on hydroxyzine in a desperare attempt to control withdrawal. It made me even worse. I now spend 90 percent of my day in bed in agony. Ive lost 50 pounds cus i cant eat. Ask yourself. Can you really have just 2 beers? Cus if you have 6 or 7 or 8. Especially more than once. You might end up like me. Every day i think about reinstating because ive been in acute since October 2018. My gaba refuses to upregulate again.

Holy moley. I'm sorry that happend to you. I'm sure I can just have 1 or 2 but after reading everyones replys I think I'll stick without it. I guess my sensory system is still on the edge. I'll just stick to sugary drinks as my vice.
