Have stalled at 1.5 K for 2 months to kick low dose codeine first

Ive had to sit at 1.5 K for a long time now, problem was I had been on a small dose of codeine 3-T3 a day for neck and back problems which was enhancing the Klonopin, I am now after a month and a half free of the opiate and seem to be stable, Its been a while since I posted, I felt like I was doing the wrong thing, I never mentioned I was on codeine, didn't think it was part of the detox or forum, it was hard to get off because it felt like I was dropping more of the K

Now im free of the T3s for 5 days, but feeling anxious and just trying to stabilize where im at on 1.5 of K.

I don't know anything abou T3 Joehoe (thyroid?), but wanted to say it's ok to talk about any drugs, as any could impact benzo withdrawal.  It was a good idea to post on the codeine.

You say you are tying to stabilise on k, and though really don't know, thought maybe (as you are feeling anxious), give it a bit more than 5 days to measure stability?

Maybe someone with more experience here, will chime in.

Hi,

I would say to be grateful you have a prescriber for T3's. I would get back on them as the last parts of K taper involve ALOT of various pains and spasms.

I would taper off the K first and then when you feel good enough, taper off the codeine.

I say this because I had a long term prescription to norco and also have been on clonazepam for decades. When, I started reading about Drs and pharmacies not wanting to prescribe these 2 types of meds together, I started tapering the clonazepam because I have rods, plates, screws and other "hardware in my back since being nearly killed in a bad MVA.

I had wanted to get off the clonazepam anyway, but when I got down to 2 mgs from my longterm 3mgs, my Dr. then stated I would be forced off my Norco. As I went down on the norco, my Clonazepam WDS got worse since one med makes the other stronger synergistically. So, I had to beg to be updosed on the clonazepam (something I had vowed not to do).

I am now on 10 mgs of norco and they won't relent on the opiate taper (with no plan for my chronic pain). The only time I can focus or get any sleep is after my now tiny 5 mg norco doses AM and PM. I can only eat or get any sleep or focus for about 3 hours after each dose.

I sure wish they would have let me keep my pain meds at least until after a clonazepam taper from decades of daily use.

In my case, I could function on 30-40 mgs of norco daily and 3 mgs of clonazepam.

Now, I am back up to 3 mgs clonazepam and having a bad time because of all the brand changes. Am trying to not updose further because the actavis (best kind I can get) just isn't working right.

Sorry about making this about myself, but my opinion is that you are a lucky duck to be able to even get t3's for the bad K wd days. JMO
