Symptoms getting worse instead of plateauing into second month?

I stepped off about 40 days ago already symptomatic. The first few weeks weren’t as bad I though they would be—mostly physical symptoms like adrenaline and elevated blood pressure. I got slammed about 2 weeks out then everything kind of turned back into the regular taper symptoms. Then I had a 4 day window where I didn’t feel normal but I felt much more at ease and functional. This morphed into much more neurological and psychiatric symptoms. I’ve always had some slight tingling and burning but now it’s on another level. I get the buzzing, acidic, electric, gripping nerves that sometimes come with hot or cold energy flowing through my body. I’ve always had anxiety and on and off chemical fear but now I’m getting more of this and much more DR. Had my first agoraphobia today. First time I had to turn the car around because driving was a task- I usually flow but I was too conscious of it all and it was distracting. More distorted senses too- sounds echo. Benzo flu. Sensitive to light. It’s like I went from level 1 acute to level 2. Sure, I get this is WD but why now after 40 days? I’ve heard of people getting slammed months later but they weren’t symptomatic until then.

What I don’t get is I was already symptomatic the lower I got in my taper so I was already in acute so to say. I stepped off too- it's not like I jumped. I get that even slow and low taperers suffer and everyone is different but to think .001 mg of K was holding this back is crazy. Is it normal for acute WD to get worse and worse into the second month off? I get this is non-linear but I thought I’d plateau as far as intensity by now. Any psychics out there? Will this go to level 3 next month?

Hello

Your right that everyone will experience w/d in a different way but I’m kind of the same as you, different symptoms but have got progressively worse now I’m just over 2 months off , some things are better tbh so I shouldn’t complain but things have morphed and I feel worse now than 1 month ago in some ways , this thing takes time and it’s not linear things will chop and change throughout this process, try not to worry and just try to accept it, I know it’s hard as I have anxiety and low mood so it’s hard not to think about everything 24/7 , just know you are healing but it takes time.

Walks in the fresh air, meditation , drink lots of water to keep hydrated, rest when you can but most of all just try to go with it, you’ve got off the junk and that’s something to be very proud of!

Take care

I've been getting progressively better by the smallest crumb but I'm still early on.  In the early months I had the acute physical stuff which passed but my psych stuff got much worse around month 2 and then lessoned a bit. I've seen some people on here get worse after the first year. You are really just entering the thick of it now. You're still very early in w/d. I've noticed you seemed very prepared to get off this stuff and did everything right but you're only human and benzos are terrible. I don't think you can avoid the misery of w/d no matter what you do with this stuff. It seems that people who taper right like you did do seem to heal somewhat quicker in the long run but everyone is so different. I hope you feel better soon.

I stepped off of Librium, tapered to 0 and the day after I stopped the symptoms got worse. It was very hard for me to believe that the very small dose I was taking was holding it back but I guess it was. The first couple of weeks were no where near as bad as it could get. Mine seemed to be very bad in month 2 also. You sound like you are following the same path as me.
