Anyone Experience a huge wave at 4 months?

Recommended Posts

I have been cruising along after the initial 6 weeks of acute WD with what I thought was real progress.  I continued to experience some rude physical symptoms, but the anxiety, doom, and insomnia had all reasonably resolved.  I am just about at the 4 months mark and have been hit by a tremendous wave that makes me almost believe I am back in the acute stage.  I have had very stressful past week-10 days and believe this is a contributing factor, but curious if anyone has stories or experience similar things in this time frame.  I need help and encouragement, trust me I will pay it forward.

I have definitely heard of a thing called the “4 month wave.” I’ve also heard that the 6 month mark is a big turning point for a lot of folks ... hang in there. Healing is not linear but it’s happening!

Thanks for the response restoration.  This has been a tough one with serious psychological symptoms.  Just looking for some support.

The psychological symptoms can be awful goldmom.  I'm still pushing through at 3 months+.

I have my sights set on 6 months.  Reassess.

It's going to get better goldmom.

I had a nasty tsunami at ~4 months, then at 6, then at 12, and another at 18.

All were less than the prior one, but all were disconcerting.

Oddly 4 months was bad for me too. Things got a heck of a lot better at about 6-7 months and have steadily been getting better since. I’m feeling really good at 9.5 months now.
