1 year off today

It’s been a year since I took the last little crumble of Ativan. Looking back at the first couple of months post taper, I’m not sure how I made it through. I still have issues, but they are nowhere near what they were a year ago. I still have lingering chest pains, breathing issues while driving, weak grip strength at times, and the occasional dizziness. I’ve walked through life this past year in absolute terror at times, other times not knowing if I was dreaming or awake, and some days I was ok. There are still those moments when I feel like I won’t get better, lasting maybe a few minutes to a few hours, but the baseline is a much better quality. I’m not sure how to tackle the anxiety yet, but I’ll figure it out in time. So here’s to tomorrow, and the day after that.
