32 months and improving

Well, I thought I already did this a few years ago but I will make a short intro again. I have actually been suffering from benson withdrawals for 32 months now. I have actively viewed the posts here the whole time but never quite figured out how to activate my membership in order to make any posts. Hopefully this will get it going. Sadly, I am still having problems and currently in a bad semi bad wave, but I have started have almost 100 percent windows for weeks at a time in the last 6 months or so.

Hello Mountainman1!

We are very glad that you found us!

I am sorry to hear that you are struggling. Sometimes it can take a long time to taper and fully heal. Are you still tapering or are you benzo free?

I would like to suggest that you do some research on the various boards. Becoming well informed should better enable you to make difficult decisions as well as provide you with the tools you need for a successful taper & recovery.  You will find many knowledgeable members who will support your efforts to be benzo free. I have enclosed a few links below that may help you. Check them out!

Wishing you a smooth taper & speedy recovery!

Welcome. Good to hear you are having windows though. What symptoms are you suffering from when you have waves at 32 months off?

I always get a sharp burning pain in my upper spine between shoulder blades. Along with slight inner vibrations, chemical feeling in mouth and strong doom that something bad is about to happen although I know it’s not. Also blurred vision and horrible memory and cognitive function. It is starting to let up during 3 day to 1 week windows but recently I just had a 6 week window of feeling almost healed but now back in a wave.

Okay, I don't experience the physical stuff you described. But I have blurred vision and those feelings of doom for sure. I haven't really experienced multiple day windows. I assume you forget about the benzo withdrawal when you experience windows?
