Librax (Librium) Took a benzo after 4 months

[...]

Recommended Posts

I've been having some gastrointestinal issues with fever since one month. The specialist prescribed me Librax 2 times a day. I thought it was stomach related medicine.  I only took one dose and I slept like a baby. I googled and now I found that Librax contains a benzo Librium 5mg. Taking two times means a 10 mg dose daily. I've been off Benzo for 4 months and took a benzo unintentionally.

Will my symptoms come again?

Also I've been having gastro issues and Librax also contains another stomach medicine. I've been given a 15 day prescription for my peptic ulcer/gut related issues.

Should I continue the treatment?

I think benzo is a loop hole and its very difficult to get out once you fell in it.

I've been very ill since Nov after taking benzo. Whenever I feel some progress a new symptom pops up. Today the doctor said my Gastro, Phunemnia, lungs, fever and chills issues are due to  hormone imblance. Now I'm connecting the dots. It was benzo withdrawal.

Last two nights were horrible I felt I was dying and could not make it in the morning.

Today just took one benzo Librax (unintentionally I did not know it contained Librium) and I'm feeling very good.

Earlier I was admitted in hospital for 3 days on IV's but still felt like crap. I've been to multiple doctors and no relief. Just one benzo again and I feel like I'm back with energy. But I'm again scared if withdrawal symptoms that will follow.

Soo benzo is a loop hole and my life is literally destroyed.

4 months and every day is full of suffering from some lingering symptom.

I never thought gastro issues could be due to benzo withdrawal. Sometimes I wish to die but I guess I'm a coward that has no energy to live anymore.

May God help me with this. I've been feeling lonely in this fight. :-[

No, I would take something else. Call your doctor and tell him you had a bad reaction to the medication. There are many other medicines you can take for stomach issues. Withdrawal symptoms will probably follow but they shouldn't last to long as that was a low dose. I just wouldn't take no more of it or you could be back to square one.
