I did a three day fast a little while ago. I'm not sure if it helped but doing a fast of that length is certainty good for you.

 

I have been feeling better since then and I feel I have turned a corner but I started meditating round that time and praying, I think those two things have been the turning point rather than the fast.

I'm planning on a 10 day fast. Will let you know what comes of it. Waiting for the weather to improve. I get really cold when I fast, and the weather up here in the mountains have been crap lately. I've fasted many times before, and always felt better for it.

Thanks for responding y’all. I’m still considering and researching how long I should fast but I definitely am going to do it whether it’s one day or three. I’m reading all kinds of benefits.

Fasting, in theory, lets your digestive system, which is a big energy suck, rest so the immune system has more to work with, instead of most of the energy being diverted to digest food. I prefer juice fasts, which technically aren't fasts at all, so my immune system has material to work with. Water fasts I think detox faster, but you're more inclined to lose muscle mass. Water fasts are also a lot more misery.

 

Been doing both every now and again for 20+years.

Ya I am def worried about losing weight. I can’t afford to lose more. So maybe a juice fast is a good idea. I make smoothies as it is.
