Question oxycotin

I need foot surgery and after they wanna give me temporarly oxycotin for the pain is oxycotin a benzo yes or no.....and can i use it temporarly after surgery.

Oxycontin is not a benzo, it's an opiate based painkiller.  So... much different but also risky to take for more than a couple of weeks.  Those meds in my understanding are best for something like pain after a surgery so you will probably benefit from taking it rather than dealing with the pain.  It's people who take opiates for chronic pain and/or recreational/self-medicating purposes that end up in trouble with them.

 

They are, like benzos, very addictive but in a different way and affect a whole different set of receptors in your body.

I took norco (hydrocodone, another opiate) every day for 4 weeks. Then stopped. It was a week of hell. So don't take the oxycontin for too long.
