Does DLMT change way metabolized?

I have yet to start a DLMT - still researching at this point as I'm still trying to stabilize more after coming off the Protonix.

Does the DLMT change the way the drug is metabolized?  Does it hit the bloodstream quicker?  I know dosing more frequently is advised with it to keep a steady flow.

One of my concerns too is that I'm sleeping ok right now (not great but ok) as I take .25 of my K before bed and have been breaking up the other .25 between morning and afternoon.  Insomnia is one of my biggest enemies, though all these other symptoms (including severe restlessness, anxiety, agitation, burning pain, etc are no picknic) - however, if I don't continue to sleep enough, I'm fearful of going downhill quickly.  I guess I could still save a bigger dose at bed, which is something I read on the Ashton Method website.  Just not sure how that would work with the liquid tapering.

Going to post on the micro-taper thread also - hope that's ok.

The ONLY change is the dry benzo powder is changed to a dissolve liquid.

It does NOT change the way it is metabolized, it does NOT change its efficacy, it does NOT change its potency, it does NOT change its onset, it does  NOT change its rate of elimination, ...

The ONLY thing it changes is its physical form!

When you make liquid, you can dose at any percentage you'd like. With your 25/25/50, you'd just put your dose in a measuring cup and add water to make one full cup. Then you would take a quarter cup for the first and second dose and a half cup at night.

My sleep improved when I switched over to DLMT.

On DLMT I do dose equal amounts four times a day. I top off the one cup measure with water, so each dose is 1/4 cup even though the amount of benzo is less as the days go by.

On dry cut, I took Xanax twice a day. Then I divided the morning dose. That helped, so I divided the evening dose. I was at four doses when shifting to liquid. It was much easier to get even doses with liquid though.

My thoughts are that it makes sense to try something new if what you're doing isn't working great. You can always switch back to your original plan if it gets worse. If the new way is better, then good deal.

Thanks.  I used to only have interdose w/d when doing once per day but I'm doing uneven 3x per day and I'm feeling the interdose w/d symptoms.  Even though K is supposed to be longer acting.  Thanks for your input.

Builder is right. It doesn't lose potency. You can hold for a week to get used to the liquid if needed. Also, you don't have to liquid taper daily. I only liquid microtaper twice a week (my body is sensitive). Liquid is WAY more accurate for dosing and I need that. Tried dry cutting and the inconsistency was killing me. Liquid taper 3 times a day has helped me. Make SURE you know how to mix your liquid with vodka/water or it won't work right. I learned the hard way when I started my taper. Builder helped me learn how to make my solution. Good luck!
