Brain zap question

[CM...]

Recommended Posts

Hello to everyone. Hope you’re all doing well and healing

I have a question. I’m down to 3.1mg of Valium today, and I’ve been having more frequent brain zaps lately. It sends me into a panic. I know they’re not harmful but they still give me a lot of anxiety.

My question is, are zaps a sign of tapering too fast? Or will they happen regardless?

I’m reducing .012mg per day (.36/mo)

I know a lot of ppl said their tapers got much better around 2.5-3mg bc the dose is no longer therapeutic and most of their receptors had uoregulaged by then.

Should I slow my taper down? Or just ride them out?

I’m so close to the end. I don’t want to fail this time.

Thank you.

Tough question..

I think one may be able to manage the increasing aspect to some degree, but to avoid them altogether might be a hard one..  From memory, I think I lost them by going so slow at very low dose, but they returned a little as I jumped for a while...

Two things that "may" help.. -Plenty of water, and some extra oil (lipids) eg. avacado, fish oil...

-asides a bit of extra hold time, that is...

They are pretty common.. Perhaps just watch for "extras" like I just mentioned in the thread I started..??
