Can anybody explain the pounding heart? Normal HR and BP

[St...]

Recommended Posts

I'm fine and then light work around the house or yard causes my heart to really pound!

Kinda scary at times..

My Heart rate and BP is just fine.

I can actually see my pulse in my upper stomach as well as feeling it all over my abdomen.

Deep breathing seems to really help and yet I'm not hyperventilating or feeling anxious.

Can some one explain the reason?

The physiology?

Are these silent panic attacks?

Gets so bad at times that my ears pop and crackle

Hey Stuck,

I'm not a doctor, but I think your nervous system is just very sensitive in this post benzo window. This used to happen to me too for a long time after getting off. I was a competitive weightlifter in college (just graduated :D), and every day when I'd start my training my heart would absolutely pound like it never did before all of this shit. It has stopped happening now though, I'm 14 months off. It comes back occasionally if I am very stressed or haven't slept. I think its just w/d stuff, but if you're worried I'd see a doctor.

You might find some peace by checking out  out cbt4panic.org The audios are fantastic. I have had this symptom many many times. It is very common when you are tapering.

I can't really explain the physiology, but it is definitely one of the most experienced withdrawal symptoms, I have never heard of silent panic attacks, but you don't seem to be having enough symptoms to think it is a panic attack.  If you ever feel scared, and your heart rate does go up, never hesitate to see a Dr, peace of mind means a lot.  Mary ♥️
